I adore Michael Bulgakov's book the Master and Margarita. I re-read it often enough. Each time the book so grasps, that are literally forgotten. ", - has mentally run in my head and hands already was involuntarily were pulled to the keyboard as I have understood, that programmers are not deprived by professional illnesses. And I'm not an exception... The "List Largest Files" is a tool to get a list of 20 largest files in some specified directory including sub-directories. The input of the "List Largest Files" is directory that you want to search in the largest files. The output is list of 20 largest files and their sizes ordered by the sizes in descending order. The tool has an intuitive interface and is easy-to-use. The utility has a number of features. Thus, it's possible to open folder containing selected file. There are options to export obtained list of 20 largest files and their sizes into .txt or/and .html file(s). The "List Largest Files" utility has a minimal impact on performance, hence can be used to process small and large volumes either. The time that takes to search depends on an input directory volume. The GUI of the tool has an animated indicator and a progress scroll bar to monitor the processing. When the animated indicator starts moving the tool collects info about specified input directory. When the scroll bas starts moving the tool sorts and shows obtained report of the 20 largest files. The utility is a subject for further features and improvements.
