The software has been created as common product for surveillance cross platforms working at the same time with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same form and controls on the local and distant workstations. Users see MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the software through net that security station can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular structure drastically increases reliability because all modules proceed as independent software. If one part freezes, other modules go on working. For instance if the `record` part stops working, `watchdog` starts over it instantly that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` component. The program performs `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote computer through Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
