The software has been created as universal product for surveillance cross platforms functioning simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar look and functionality on the local and apart computers. Users view MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the software via network that security server can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular structure significantly improves reliability because all modules work as independent applications. If one part freezes, other modules keep on running. For instance if the `record` component stops working, `watchdog` starts over it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching picture via a `playback` module. The program makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by motion, human face recognition, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on apart pc using Web interface. The program does synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
